NWHO Board Elections 2010
In January 2010 NWHO will conduct elections for the board.
The open positions will be for the Vice-President and Secretary. There will also be two board positions open. The outgoing Vice-President and Secretary are offered these positions first. If they decline, these positions are then appointed by the Governing Officers.
Here is a description of the duties of the following positions:
Vice-President: The vice-president supports the president in his/her efforts and assumes the role of the President in his/her's absence. The vice-president is responsible for the 'ohana's physical property and have knowledge of the location of said property.
Secretary: The secretary keeps the minutes of all meetings and maintains a record of the minutes in an organized fashion. The secretary also responsible for correspondence of the 'ohana and maintain a record of said correspondence. Prepares and sends required notices of meetings to the membership and is entrusted with the Corporate Seal. The secretary assumes the role of the President in the absence of the President and the Vice-President.
Board Positions: Board members attend all board meetings and support the Governing Officers as needed. These positions are offered to the outgoing officers. Positions left vacant are then appointed by the Governing Officers.
